2021 Texas High Plains Carignan
2021 Texas High Plains Carignan
21TXHPCARIGNAN

The 2021 Carignan was aged 17 months in predominately neutral oak. We blended the final product with a touch of Alicante Bouschet. We are really enjoying Carignan as a “drink now” and chillable red wine that is easy, yet interesting. It is one of those special varieties that can be both fruity and earthy—so although it isn’t intended to age, it comes with plenty of fun notes already.

Tasting Notes
Dark cherries, cranberries, strawberries, hibiscus, dried herbs with hints of smoke and graphite present on the nose. This wine is light bodied, and soft, juicy and jammy on the palate. You’ll get both fruit and earth on the palate and soft integrated tannins mean you can easily put a light chill on this wine during hot summer months. Enjoy this wine now through 2027.
