Estate Tasting Room

Nestled in the heart of Texas Hill Country and the epicenter of the Texas wine industry, on 145 acres of oak-shaded land, with unparalled views of the beautiful Pedernales River Valley.

At the large bar you may enjoy a tasting of six wines off a fixed tasting menu that is inteded to give you the full range of what Pedernales Cellars has to offer. The fee includes a complimentary glass to take home as a souvenir. Appointments required on Saturdays and for groups of more than six people.

Parking

Pedernales Cellars provides ample free parking adjacent to our tasting room in Stonewall. There is also a passenger drop off and pick up point right in front of the tasting room. Visitors with special needs can find parking spots right near the ramp up to the front door. 

 


Reserve Tastings

In the reserve area you may enjoy a seated tasting of several flights of limited quantity library and wine club wines. The tasting is served by a knowledgeable wine professional, and the fee includes a complimentary Riedel glass to take home as a souvenir. The Reserve Tasting is only available on weekends, and appointments are required. Wine Club members receive 20% discount. To reserve your seat, click here.

Large Group Tasting

Enjoy a private tasting in our Library at the winery in Stonewall, just off the main tasting room for groups of 7-16 guests. This seated tasting includes a flight of six Pedernales Cellars wines off our tasting menu. The tasting is served by a knowledgeable wine professional and includes a complimentary glass to take home as a souvenir. This tasting is for groups of seven to sixteen guests. Reservations required. Barrel Tasting & Tour

Enjoy a tour of our wine cellar complete with wine samples from the tanks and barrels. Tastings will be conducted by a dedicated, knowledgeable server, who will give you a tour of the wine production area as well as a full tasting with cheese and charcuterie pairings. Private Tour Tasting

For the ultimate Pedernales Cellars experience, book a private tasting in our Library. Tastings will be conducted by a dedicated, knowledgeable server, who will give you a tour of the facilities as well as a full tasting with cheese and charcuterie pairings. Directions to the Estate Winery

From Austin (65 miles) and other points east

Take Highway 290 westbound towards Stonewall, pass the turnoff for the LBJ Ranch, and look for the Pedernales Cellars sign at the intersection of Ranch Road 1623 as you approach Stonewall. Take a left, travel for two miles, and then look for the turnoff to Pedernales Cellars, and our limestone-walled front entrance, on the right.

From Fredericksburg (17 miles) and other points west

Take U.S. Highway 290 eastbound to Stonewall and turn right on Ranch Road 1623. Travel for two miles and then look for our limestone-walled front entrance, which will be on the right at the intersection with Upper Albert Road If you want a scenic back country drive, take the right turn off Highway 290 at Upper Albert Road. You’ll cross a cattle guard and then take a left at the fork, The road will skirt a property line, and then straighten out before it intersects with Ranch Road 1623. The winery entrance will be on your right as you reach the intersection.

From San Antonio (69 miles) and other points south

Take U.S. Highway 281 North toward Johnson City. In Blanco, take a left on 4th Street. 4th Street will turn into River Road, which will turn into Farm Road 1623 and then Ranch Road 1623. 18 miles after the turn off from 281, turn left on Upper Albert Road, and you’ll see Pedernales Cellars on your left.

Houston (219 miles) and other points east

Take IH-10 West towards San Antonio. Take Exit 632 towards Lockhart and Luling. Drive north on U.S. Highway 183 to Luling. In Luling, take Texas Highway 80 to San Marcos. Continue west on Ranch Road 12 and then on Ranch Road 32. Turn right on U.S. Highway 281 and drive north for two miles to the Blanco 4th Street turnoff, and turn left. 4th Street will turn into River Road, which will turn into Farm Road 1623 and then Ranch Road 1623. 18 miles after the turn off from 281, turn left on Upper Albert Road, and you’ll see Pedernales Cellars on your left.

From Dallas (244 miles) and other points north (scenic route)

Take US Highway 67 South to Cleburne. Continue on U.S. Highway 67 to Chalk Hill, and then turn left at Texas Highway 220 towards Hico. In Hico, take U.S. Highway 281 South to Johnson City. In Johnson City, take a right on U.S. Highway 290. 15 miles west from Johnson City, just past the turnoff for the LBJ Ranch, look for the Pedernales Cellars sign at the intersection of Ranch Road 1623 as you approach Stonewall. Take a left, travel for two miles, and then look for the turnoff to Pedernales Cellars just before RR 1623 makes a sharp left turn, and our limestone-walled front entrance, on the right.

From Dallas (260 miles) and other points north (main highways)

Take IH-35 South to Austin. Drive west on US 290 towards Johnson City. Take Highway 290 westbound towards Stonewall, pass the turnoff for the LBJ Ranch, and look for the Pedernales Cellars sign at the intersection of Ranch Road 1623 as you approach Stonewall. Take a left, travel for two miles, and then look for the turnoff to Pedernales Cellars, and our limestone-walled front entrance, on the right. From
