This is our first year making a vineyard designated Tempranillo from Lahey Vineyards. Lahey Vineyards is the largest vineyard in Texas at roughly 1,000 acres. At that size, they are able to have lots of variety and all the components of this wine are from Lahey. The 2020 vintage was hot and dry leading to very concentrated wines. We co-fermented the Alicante Bouschet with Cinsault to help balance chemistry and really enjoyed the result. The final blend is one of our favorite wines of the year, with lots of complexity and structure that should last for many years.
