The 2020 vintage was one with rich and concentrated fruit from the hot, very dry, growing season. This is very evident in our Tempranillo’s from this vintage—while ordinarily they are not particularly tannic wines, the 2020 vintage was abundant with tannins. This will make for long aging and elegant wines that you can hold for years to come. We are excited to see how this Reserva ages. In 2025 we will be releasing a Gran Reserva which will be this wine but with an additional year of barrel age, plus three years in bottle before release. It will be really fun to compare the two, and to see how the additional barrel aging impacted the over all wine.
