2018 Newseaux
2018 Newseaux

The name “Newseaux” is a bit of a play on words meant to illustrate that Newsom Vineyard is one of the best vineyards in Texas to source Bordeaux varieties. With an elevation of about 3,800 feet above sea level, Newsom Vineyards sees some of the most dramatic diurnal shift in the region, and this means we are able to ripen these grapes for longer than we might be able to elsewhere - something critical for these grapes. Creating these Bordeaux blends is always a challenge, as expectations range from desire for a California style Cabernet to an earthier and delicate right bank Merlot. We are happy with this vintage, however, and find it a lovely wine, somewhere between the two well-known styles.

This wine is unfined, and vegan.
