This is our first Gran Reserva style wine. We followed the Spanish wine laws and aged this Tempranillo for two years in new American oak, and allowed for three years bottle aging before release. The Tempranillo in this wine is all Kuhlken Estate-and by the time you are enjoying it, those vines no longer exist as they have been replanted. This wine, perhaps for us more than others, really is a bit of a time machine in that sense. We learned a lot making this wine and hope you’ll enjoy tasting it with us and toasting to the original vineyard.
