2016 Bingham Vineyards Reserve
2016 Bingham Vineyards Reserve
Special Library Release Wine

We have been working with the Bingham Family since 2007. They are one of our most important growers and we’ve used our Reserve Bingham blend to showcase some of their best fruit since 2013. As we have brought more Bingham blocks into our program, it has given us more opportunity to highlight the distinct character of their farm.  In 2016, we were especially excited to have a new Bingham varietal: Petit Verdot. This thick skinned, dark, tannic and flavorful grape adds color and complexity to any blend, and while this blend only contains 7%, a little bit truly goes a long way.

Tasting Notes
The 2016 Bingham Reserve is a beautiful and complex Tempranillo blend with a deep ruby color. Aromatically, this full-bodied wine gives notes of dried green herbs, blackberry jam, bramble and leather with subtle earthy undertones. On the palate you’ll find a balance of dark fruits, such as black cherry and jam compote as well as savory tobacco and herbal notes. Balanced tannins and acidity give this wine the back bone to age.
