This is our first vintage of Grenache as a single Varietal (besides a limited release Signature Series in 2018). We are very excited to share this wine and hope that it can become a staple for us. Grenache is one of our winemakers favorite grapes. It takes a lot of love to get it to shine and we’ve been working on this program a lot. We have worked closely with Rob Warren at Desert Willow where most of our Grenache is sourced— although he has naturally balanced yields, he is willing to crop thin for us which helps to concentrate flavor in the remaining clusters. On our end, we follow that with a saignee and a cold soak to try and get the most out of the berries as we can.
