2020 Texas High Plains Chenin Blanc
We haven’t made a varietal Chenin Blanc in many years. The small harvest of 2020 gave us the opportunity to pick some up (it was one of only two varieties we were able to secure in 2020) and experiment with this grape again. Chenin Blanc is fun to work with because it is so different from the other whites we get in. We love it’s characteristic and distinct wooly notes.
Note that it is unfined, and vegan.

This High Plains Chenin Blanc has your typical wool notes, along with white flowers, lemon curd, lychee and kiwi with a hint of white pepper. It is a light bodied wine, with a smooth mouthfeel and balanced fruit and mineral notes on the palate.
