2019 Texas Mourvedre
2019 Texas Mourvedre

Although we have been getting Mourvèdre in the cellar for years, this is only our third varietal Mourvèdre. It has been rewarding to experiment with and we’ve found it well suited to more new oak than we originally thought. Oak of course changes the profile of any wine, but seems particularly dramatic with Mourvèdre. Here we used mostly American but will be testing out French oak and different toasts in the future. We hope you’ll enjoy this rich wine, beautifully complimented with Syrah and Petit Sirah.

Note that it is unfined, and vegan.

Tasting Notes
A pretty nose with deep aromatics, you’ll find dark fruits, red currants, earth, cedar, herbs and game. This medium bodied wine has lovely flavors reminiscent of black cherry pie and a long vanilla finish.
