This wine is full of character and changes throughout swirling and drinking. You’ll get notes of violets, black cherry, maraschino cherry, graphite, and quince. The body is just shy of medium with a food friendly acidity and structured yet light tannins. Flavors of cranberry, blackberry, plum, and game are prominent.

We are pleased to share with you our first release of the 2019 vintage! The fruit for this wine came in just two months prior to bottling to create our first “Nouveau” style wine - a decision made the day we pressed. As we sampled this lot while draining the tank, we knew it would be a special wine and were excited about the layers of flavor that had developed in a short time. We wanted to share this wine with y’all to give you a taste of what 2019 has yet to bring.
The grapes were put to stainless tank whole berry and temperature dropped to cold soak. A slow, spontaneous fermentation started and was allowed for half the fermentation before inoculating. The lot was pressed on Oct 3rd, 13 days after harvest.
The majority of this wine was put to barrel despite this portion seeing none. Take note when the rest is released down the line!
