The Family Reserve is a blend we have been creating for years to highlight some of our favorite lots from some of our favorite growers. By nature, the blend is nontraditional. This vintage contains almost all of our 2019 Teroldego which is an inky, jammy variety from northern Italy. It has fairly low tannins, so blending with our estate Touriga Nacional helped to balance this. The Touriga was aged in heavily toasted oak, and the smoky notes are evident on this wine. It opens up beautifully and we think will age in very fun ways.
