2018 was an interesting growing season. We saw across the board very low yields with early winds and consistent hot and dry weather. In the case of Vermentino, this meant about 1.5 tons per acre. Although our volume was significantly lower, we opted to keep this as a smaller production of Vermentino, rather than blend in another white varietal for volume. This wine saw regular lees stirring during fermentation and while aging in tank to benefit mouth feel and aromatics. One of our favorite whites of the season!
