Our 2017 High Plains Tempranillo started as a relatively traditional blend of key Spanish varieties— Tempranillo with Mourvèdre (known as Monastrell in Spain). Later in the final stages of finishing this wine, one of the aspiring winemakers in the cellar accidentally added two barrels of our finest Italian variety, Teroldego. Though non-traditional, this wine has quickly become one of our favorite vintages of High Plains Tempranillo! We hope you will enjoy this unique wine as well.
