Pedernales Cellars

2017 Texas Albarino
2017 Texas Albarino

Albariño is a white wine varietal popular both in Spain and Portugal. It is distinctly different from the other whites in our program and has been a fun grape to play around with in the cellar. While the majority of this wine is Texas High Plains fruit, a small portion is from our estate. This year, in addition to barrel aging portions, we fully fermented our estate fruit in French Oak. Blending these components back in with the stainless steel fermented lot adds complexity and structure to this unique wine.
